Biography
Alberti Brass is a brass quintet whose individual members (Paul Sharp – Trumpet, Fraser Tannock  – Trumpet,  Joseph Walters – French Horn, David Whitehouse – Trombone and Peter Smith – Tuba) perform with some of the world’s finest orchestras and ensembles. Formed in the 1990s by graduates of the London music colleges, the quintet has gone on to receive praise for its performances across the UK and Europe, as well as for its two CD releases, Angel (masterful arrangements of tangos by Astor Piazzolla) and The Christmas Album. Both albums have met with considerable acclaim.
The quintet prides itself in the diversity of its repertoire and the reputation it has developed has attracted invitations to perform as concert recitalists, provide music for weddings and corporate events and to collaborate with choral societies. The ensemble realises the importance of inspiring audiences of the future and has pioneered innovative programmes of educational work such as the Wider Opportunities initiative with Waltham Forest Music Service.
