Evening of Christmas music with Modality Youth Choir Tuesday 6th December 2016

Tickets will be available at the door: £7 (Members/visitors).
Complimentary wine and seasonal food will be served in the second half of the evening
Enjoy an evening of Christmas Carols and seasonal music interspersed with instrumental, and solo items and yuletide readings and poems given by the Modality Youth Choir – a popular and sought-after local youth choir – directed by Jenny Ewington. Join in with the carols and start your run-up to the Christmas festivities in a friendly and convivial atmosphere!
This will be followed by Redbridge Music Society’s annual Christmas Party with plentiful complimentary mince pies, wine and soft drinks.

Modality Youth Choir’was set up by Jenny Ewington, in September 2011 with a few of her vocal students and since that time the choir has grown to include students from West Hatch, Trinity, Forest, King Solomon and Woodbridge High Schools. The choir rehearse weekly on a Monday evening in South Woodford and have performed at a number of prestigious ‘Livery’ events in London and also locally at functions and in the local community raising money for charity. They have won first prize in two choral classes at Stratford and East London Music Festival and have performed at the National Choir of the Year Competition, Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge and at the Ideal Home Christmas Show, Olympia.
Based in Woodford, Jenny splits her professional life working as a singing teacher, choral director, vocal arranger and performer. Amongst her notable student successes are Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli, who were runners up in Britain’s Got Talent (2012), and who have subsequently gone on to performance careers and recording deals with Sony UK.
